After our performance in Heppenheim, our tour took us straight to Hamburg – right in the middle of Spielbudenplatz on the Reeperbahn. You’d be hard-pressed to find a more different venue: instead of an amphitheatre overlooking the vineyards, we were greeted by the pulsating heart of St Pauli, with its unique energy and urban flair.
Together with many fantastic artists, Spielbudenplatz was transformed into a place brimming with encounters, creativity and contemporary street art. It was inspiring to be part of a festival that brings together so many different art forms and turns public space into a huge stage for a weekend.
On Sunday, however, the weather threw a spanner in the works. Due to the weather conditions, our show ‘A Way’ unfortunately had to be cancelled following a thorough safety assessment and in close consultation with the organisers. The safety of our team and our audience is always our top priority.
The festival drew to a close on Sunday with a joint closing show on the main stage. As part of this special moment, we presented Corny Littmann – who founded the Spielbudenfestival and has supported it with great dedication for many years – with one of our handcrafted miniature wooden bridges. For us, this was a small token of appreciation and thanks for a festival that offers artists an extraordinary stage and fills Spielbudenplatz with life anew every year. It was a lovely end to an eventful weekend that will remain a special memory for us.
