Pforzheim – what a lovely weekend!
As soon as we arrived at the Sommersprossen Festival, we were given a warm welcome and looked after in every way. Our venue was conveniently located right next to our hotel – a real luxury when you’re on tour! We were also well looked after when it came to food and treated to some wonderful meals. A huge thank you for that!
On Friday, however, the weather had other ideas. A thunderstorm rolled in during our show and, due to the weather conditions, we unfortunately had to cut our performance short. Although we would, of course, have loved to play our show right through to the end, we fully understood and appreciated that the organiser reacted to the situation promptly and responsibly. After all, the safety of the audience and the performers comes first.
A small consolation awaited us afterwards: together as a team, we were able to round off the evening in the spa area on our hotel’s roof terrace – complete with a hot tub and a fantastic view over Pforzheim. So what had been a somewhat abrupt evening of performances turned into a wonderful time spent together after all. A very special thank you therefore also goes to the hotel staff, who kindly allowed us to stay in the spa area a little longer.
On Saturday, we were finally able to perform our show in its entirety in glorious weather. And it felt as though the whole of Pforzheim had turned out!
We were overwhelmed by the incredible response, the fantastic audience and the many wonderful comments we received after the show. It’s precisely these moments that remind us time and again why we do what we do.
Once again, we felt as though we’d built and forged bridges – between people and right into the heart of the city of Pforzheim.
